Womans Brain Functions

Have you ever wondered how a woman's brain works? Well..... it's finally explained here in one, easy-to-understand illustration:

Woman's Brain

Every one of those little blue balls is a thought about something that needs to be done, a decision or a problem that needs to be solved

Good thing a man's brain requires only two balls

Why....

Whomever is trying to bring the 80's clothes and massive flipping earrings back please die.  Torch the stretchy bubblegum jeans, bury the massive belts, shred the tube socks, and so help me god if I spot anyone wearing spandex I'll think of something dastardly ebil to do.

Next thing you know 90210 is going to have a remake.......

I married.... Mini-me?!

An outrageous laugh at my husbands expense, this apparently is getting sent around amongst the people deployed with him and here on his home base. I blanked out the other gentlemans face as I do not know him and would not want to paint his face across the internet as the beta mold my darling mini-me husband was modelled after. My husband on the other hand... open season muwahahaha!

(aaarghh wth is up with live spaces chewing the life out of html codes)

*Blows the dust off her blog*

So here I was thinking that for once I have a half hour to myself, no kids and caught up on work for a few hours... lets go see if my blogs are all still up. Sure enough this one is rotting away here and my old 'gamers & geeks' and my craptastic myspace are gone. Bit upset about my gamers & geeks one as it was the blog I had focused so much on for years, myspace I could care less about... don't think I even lasted a month on there before i got sick of it.

Anyways... got this poor dusty blog loaded on screen and started cracking up laughing... there is 'Seridove' in huge letters from my blog last year, she just recently hired me as staff and I couldn't figure out for the life of me where I knew her name from.... I have a great memory it is apparently just extremely selective!

Time to load up some screenshots as I have started playing a new game: Tabula Rasa
A lot of people are complaining about the lack of end game right now and are comparing it to games that have been on the market for several years... I can understand the lack of end game complaints but comparing it to long standing games just doesn't work for a new release! All in all though I absolutely love this game, the community takes a bit to get used to but once you get to know the people in game and in the many forums running you discover it truly has an awesome community. The graphics are fantastic (sorry if you are looking for cartoony graphics you will be disappointed) the system reqs are actually pretty light weight, immersion is a mixed bag depending on the player... I tend to read as many quests (missions) as I can unless it is a grab the mission and keep running situation (TRAIN!!!) and was amazed with a great deal of the effort to keep the missions amusing rather than 'kill 10 thrax because I say so!", the npc's come up with the most entertaining sayings.. either with chat bubbles over their heads or with voice overs, a few easter eggs like 'taste the rainbow bitch' from one npc and a lotr parody from a couple of mechs defending a base (in Thunderhead I think it was). The easiest to find easter egg is early in the game... around level 15 or so (sometimes earlier) when you hit the second zones primary base... listen carefully to the base loud speaker announcements and you will eventually hear the one I am hinting at here ;)

Release was incredibly smooth, a few bugs and a bit of pain in the mid-30 levels due to bugs but overall it is a smooth ride. These kind of releases make me grin ear to ear, less bugs upon release means faster additions to the game! Sure enough with every patch they introduce something new to flesh out the game play a bit more, and we can usually count on the bugs that get introduced in a patch to be remedied quickly. It seems to be once a month we are getting big patches so far and the dev teams posted on their site that they intend to continue with the big and fast introductions of content rather than bundle it all up for extended periods to make expansions. Some serious goodies on the way that have just about every player itching for like PAUs (think along the lines of mechs) clan (guild) controlled bases, heavier PvP.. all kinds of goodies!

New PLAYER VIDEO! (Something different!)

What do you get when you cross a ringwraith on a bicycle, a lunchbox, a lot of wide open space, and a handful of kids with decent video skills and a ton of free time? Well in most cases you get one of those idiotic "viral" videos. However, I think the guys at JourneyoftheRing.com have chosen to tread the path not taken - they've made something actually worth viewing. Now I know that's going to probably prompt plenty of "You must not have high standards for video" comments, but when judging it as its own work instead of comparing it to a Peter Jackson blockbuster, the video has a lot of merit to it.

"Wouldn't it be cool if we made..." is a phrase often said over a few six packs or a funny cigarette or two, and rarely goes beyond that night, even if one or more of the involved parties actually remembers it in the morning. Another common source of "Wouldn't it be cool if we made..." is game development where there are a thousand rambling backstories, scanned scribbles of swords and elves, and Under Construction sites across the web for the countless cool games that guys get together and get psyched to make. Journey of the Ring is an example of a group of guys getting together and actually making their idea a reality.

Check out Journey of the Ring and post a comment on our forum as to what you thought of it. I found it pretty entertaining and pretty well done for an amateur low/no-budget movie.

Be warned: If you consider sneakers on hobbits an immersion breaker, this movie may not be for you.
